A quote I’ve been pondering lately, not sure who said it, but I heard it from Mark Forrester (cofounder of Woo Themes and Woo Commerce)

“How do you spot the pioneers? They are the ones with the arrows in their backs.”

Lesson being, it is very risky going in first. If you are like me you like being the groundbreaker and our culture romanticizes being first.

Better to, at least sometimes, take the road more travelled. It’s well worn for a reason.

Get skin in the game, choose wisely.
