Layers

Strength is built in layers. Just as Japanese Sword Makers, a favorite topic of mine, fold the steel to create up 16 times to create over 65 000 layers, so we add each day to our strength and to our strategy.

Strategy is played out and built over time, building a culture for example is a major part of strategy and culture is not built overnight, each fold takes time.

But, as any Sword Maker will tell you, folding steel more than 16 times (20 times will give you a million layers, which sounds impressive), actually takes the steel back to its original state and the layers disappear.

Swords are not made for folding, swords are made for striking.

Be patient, fold the steel, then strike.

Get skin in the game.
