The big difference

The big difference between humans and the rest of the animal kingdom is the ability to organise and collaborate.

It might be possible to fill a stadium with chimpanzees but very difficult to get them to  do something and the same thing

The reason we can organise and collaborate is because we can tell stories that create meaning and bind groups together.

Seth Godin recently summed it up like this, ‘People like us, do thing like this’. Whether St Seth realises it or not (he probably does) but that is a story.

The questio then is, are you inviting your team into a meaningful narrative?

Get skin the game.

PS: I’m writing these this week from the Swiss Alps, we are visiting friends here, so if they are late or sporadic I apologise, but this place is freakin awesome!
