Breaking the Law

Recently we went to a secluded beach to have a picnic, we brought a Cobb cooker along, it uses 6 coals to cook a meal. However, as our kids pointed out repeatedly, there was a sign as you enter on the beach of a fire with a line through it.

So, what do you think we did?

We lit the Cobb.

Lighting it breaks the rules, technically, but there is a spirit behind a law, an original motivation for creating it, which we weren't transgressing.

Right and wrong, good and evil, does not lie in letters, it lies in intent.
