Burning

Over the weekend I went on a retreat, and we worked through the biblical story of Moses and the burning bush.

You know, Moses is walking around in the desert and notices a bush that DOESN’T burn up, and when he steps in closer to inspect this strange bush that isn’t burning up, he hears his calling.

What in my life isn’t burning up? What thing keeps on crossing my path, keeps on showing up, keeps on returning, what isn’t burning up.

We should be paying more attention to burning bushes.
