Four Road signs
Over the holidays I received a small book as a gift, it was my birthday, ‘The Four Agreements’ by Don Miguel Ruiz.
It wasn’t particularly well written and the concepts and ideas where not that unique, but the list of Four Agreements has been life changing for me.
They are basically four new deals you cut with yourself. Four new ones to replace crappy old ones like, ‘Always overreact’ (my personal favorite).
The four are:
Be impeccable with your word.
Don’t take anything personally.
Don’t make any assumptions.
Always do your best.
I stuck them next to my mirror and read them everyday and I cannot tell you how many times a day I have to, or get to, do a course correction.
It’s been profound.
Get skin the game, make some new deals with yourself.
