Happiness is ...

"Happiness is a skill" Naval Ravikant.

"Happiness is for Americans, I asked are you satisfied with your life." Women seated next to the artist William Kentridge when he responded, 'Do you mean am I happy?'

I use these two quotes often, they've become two paradoxical anchors in my life.

Happiness is a skill, I believe that and have come to know that deeply. The more I train my mind with meditation, my attention with intention and my body with good food and exercise, the happier I am.

Yet, life is more than walking around like a smiling idiot, blissfully ignorant of the challenges and difficulties.

My goal now is to engage, to be satisfied with my life, to be proud of the way I react and what I create. To be fully present to the joy and the sorrow, to experience it all.

Get skin in the game, have all of it.
