Have you broken a bone?

I broke my left arm when I was 6 years old. I wanted to see if I could jump (fly) all the way from the top of my cupboard to my bed on the other side of the room.

I couldn't.

Now, I have a double-jointed left elbow. It makes for a great party trick. If we ever meet, I'll show you.

I have something to confess, though. Whenever I find out that somebody hasn't broken a bone, I silently judge them. Okay, fine, sometimes not so silently. Not my finest moments, but there you have it.

When someone hasn't broken a bone, I think they may have been playing it just too safe in. That they didn't push hard enough, dared enough.

I've since adjusted my metric to include scars.

So I hope you have scars and or a healed bone or two. If not, maybe push a little harder this week. Take the leap.

;)
