Never ever

There was a study done in the late nineties on how often people can guess what someone else is thinking, what they need.

The study was done with people in long term relationships, romantic relationships, close family member or friends.

Guess what the result was? How many times could they 'guess' right?

One out of twenty.

About 95% of the time people couldn’t name why the other person performed the behaviours they displayed.

The lesson is, as my friend Lindi so often reminds me, never ever assume the need of those you seek to serve.

Learn to ask.
