Patterns

I've been thinking about patterns this week.

It takes a while to discern patterns in our lives. Carl Jung, for example, refused to work with anyone under the age of 40. He simply believed that you just haven't repeated the destructive patterns long enough to be able to recognise them.

One of the characteristics of chaos is that you are dealing with unknown unknowns, ie you don't know what you don't know. There are no discernible patterns and the old patterns have disappeared or have been destroyed.

The answer here is that if you want to get a hold amidst the chaos you will have to discern a pattern and then stop the destructive ones and lean into the positive ones.

What is giving you life right now and what is not?

Get skin in the game, discern.
