If you start your day well, it just makes sense to finish it well, one thing I do every day at the end of my day is a review.
It has five steps, you can read in more detail about it here, but in essence, you want to revisit your day step by step and see what was energising for you and what was draining, asking why as you go. Ending with a resolve to focusing on those things that energised you the next day.
We even do this exercise, it's called the examen, with our kids every evening at dinner. We just ask, what was the best and what was the worst parts of your day.
Reflecting on our lived experience is extremely valuable for charting the road ahead (which is why I built a whole talk around it. :) )
Get skin in the game, reflect.
