We don't need to save it
Alexander von Humboldt, am early nineteenth-century German scientist made the radical claims that it is only through our subjective (the bain of all rational, logical, and scientific thinkers) faculties, senses, emotion, feelings, and imagination that we can penetrate the secrets of nature and the universe.*
"I myself am identical with nature." - Humboldt
Our modern-day distancing from nature, and our context, is what is causing all the problem.
We don't have to save it or them.
We have to save ourselves.
