Gravity & Grace

I've been digging into Simone Weil's work over the last week, she was a French philosopher, mystic, and political activist. 

She observed that there are two forces that governed the world, gravity and grace (or light).

Gravity is the 'natural' order of things, where war is repaid with war, hate with hate, fire with fire. Grace is the opposite or 'unnatural' way, where hate is repaid with love, hate with forgiveness, fire with water.

We can choose to live our lives in gravity or grace.
