Yesterday was Halloween, ghosts, goblins, and candy, right? Well, maybe.

Even though we don't 'officially' celebrate Halloween in South Africa my family and I still love it.

It gives us a chance to think about death...

And today is ​All Saints Day​, another day to remember those inspirational humans who have passed away.

More death.

Remembering that we too will die is vital for us to continue living authentically today.

Remembering that we are not the first (or the last) that will walk upon this earth ties us into a wider narrative and a wider responsibility.

Hear the little bird whispering in your ear,

'You too will die. Are you the person you want to be today? Are you, like those did before you, carrying your share of the burden?'
