Source of Suffering

In Buddhist philosophy, it is said the all suffering stems from desire, from wanting. This is true, especially when it comes to wanting a specific outcome and betting it all on that. I call it the If-This-Then-That dilemma.

If X happens, then I will be happy/content/complete.

Disaster.

Desire, however, isn't intrinsically bad, here is where I differ from Buddhist thinking perhaps, what and how you desire could be.

Better to keep it open-ended, trusting that the good work that has been begun in you will be completed.

In one way or another.

Get skin in the game, keep it open.
