Taking care of ants...

Have you ever taken care of a baby bird? Have you done it multiple times, even though its chances of survival are slim to none?

Have you rescued ants from the sink?

Then I like you. I think it shows something of your character, of your ability to be faithful in caring for the small, the defenceless. It shows that you understand something about compassion, even if you (like me) still sometimes use bug spray.

Whenever I hear of someone that doesn't take care of life, no matter how small and even in this near illogical way, it puts me on high alert. I simply struggle to trust such a person.

You get kids that rescue ants and kids that burn them with a magnifying glass.

I hope you are the former, if not perhaps rethink the way you treat 'the least of these'.

Get skin in the game, show compassion.
