the right question
Sometimes when we ask questions of life like,
‘What am I supposed to do with my life?’
‘Where will I end up?’
‘How will I provide for my kids’ education in 10 years time?’
we get stuck in a revolving door, at least I do. The questions are too big, there are too many variables, and while they are worthwhile considering, of course, they can bog us down with too high a levels of uncertainty.
I find that a better question, one that creates direction as well as movement, is to ask,
‘What is the next step?’
The old adage of how to eat an elephant, one bite at a time, is still true.
Get skin in the game, make the next, small, move.
