Why there's an emoji in my LinkedIn profile

I had to put an ⚜ emoji in my LinkedIn profile to filter out the messages from bots*. You see, bots can't distinguish between an emoji and a letter. Then whenever I receive a LinkedIn message that includes the emoji, I know it's most probably a bot and can proceed to delete.

In an automated world, human interaction matters more than ever. I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

The more high tech we become the more high touch we need to be.
