Inside the egg
There is a Buddhist idea that says we live our entire lives inside of an egg, like an unhatched bird, barely aware of the big world outside. All our emotions, turmoils, passions, struggles and frustrations are happening inside of this little tiny egg.
In Christian thought the greek word metanoia is translated as repentance. Metameans change, beyond, a growth to an awareness of self, and noia, of course, means mind. The invitation is to move from paranoia, a small, erratic mind to a bigger awareness.
How is life inside the egg?
Time to break the shell.
