Pretty much

There once was a traveler who arrived at a small rural village when he met an old woman sitting by the village gate.

'I'm a traveler looking to move to a new place, what are the people like in this village?' he asked.

'Well' she replied, 'What are the people like where you come from?'

'They're terrible', he answered, 'Rude, inconsiderate, and judgemental!'

'I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but the people in this village are pretty much the same.' The old woman replied.

The following day another traveler came to the village gate, and met the same old woman.

'I want to perhaps move to this village' the traveller said, 'What are the people like here?'

'Well' she replied, 'What are the people like where you come from?'

'Oh, they are lovely! Kind, generous and very witty!' he replied.

'Well, you are in luck! The people in this village are pretty much the same.' said the old woman.
