The image here is of a Khoisan hunter crouching for hours, even days, waiting for the antelope to pass. It is of the archer waiting for the exact moment to release the perfect shot.

The good warrior is not concerned with external pressure, only internal timing, she can take a hit waiting for her chance to strike. The shadow warrior, however, lives reactively, whipping out her sword at the smallest provocation.

‘What a man needs is not courage but nerve control, cool headedness. This he can only get by practice’
Theodore Roosevelt.
