what are you waiting for?

One of my favourite animated films is The Incredibles, a story about a family of superheroes that are in hiding since the world no longer 'needs' superheroes.

My favourite scene in the film is when Mr Incredible, who now has a boring desk job he hates, loses his temper when he comes home from work and lifts their car above his wanting to throw it. The neighbour's boy, on his tricycle, sees this and stares in disbelief. The next day the boy is there on his tricycle waiting when Mr Incredible comes home from work, the exchange goes like this:

Mr Incredible: 'Well, what are you waiting for?'
The boy: 'I don't know, something amazing I guess...'
Mr Incredible: (sighs) 'Me too kid'

I want to be that kid, always expecting something amazing.

Get skin in the game, expect the amazing. (watch the clip here)
