I really dislike, no, hate that question.

I hate it because it is really difficult for me to answer, and there is so much baggage with all the words that are used to describe what I do. Speaker makes people think I jump on stage and have them shout ‘YESYESYES!’, Pastor has even more baggage, author is better, but sounds unemployed.

So, I’ve started answering the ‘what do you do’ question starting with ‘I’m really passionate about…

…waking people up.’

…bringing depth and meaning.’

…inspiring people to create great work.’

These answers lead to fresh conversations, which are great.
