What is in work...

I was thinking this morning about one curious thing about the Eden story, Adam and Eve worked. Eden wasn't a holiday resort. They had to tend and till. Humans are made to build things, we aren't very happy when we don't work, even though we say we don't like it.

"I don't like work, but I like what is in the work, the chance to find your-self." Marlow in Heart of Darkness.

Purpose is hidden somewhere in work, and it rests largely on the story we tell ourselves about the work that we do.

Why do you do what you? And does that story get you up in the morning?
